Jones Geniuses Moodle

We have been getting reports from several families that they are having problems with the Moodle quizzes. It seems that the program has quite a few bugs.

Anyone who desires to should go back to the "pencil and paper" method for their quizzes. This seems to be a lot easier for many, especially for younger students.

It is still important for your teacher to be up-to-date on how you are doing on your timed testing. If you take your quizzes on paper, please email your scores to your teacher once a week on Friday or Saturday.

The email can look like this, or similar (depending on how many times you take the test - you can take it as many times as you want - and which tests you are taking). Just keep it simple!

Please let me or your teacher know if you have any questions or concerns about timed testing. All students should be doing their quizzes daily.

Hi everyone!

I'd like to invite you to the Cyber Campus on Wednesday, February 10 at 2:30 pm CST. I will be there to help get you started on walking, talking and flying in the campus and we'll do our very first Cyber Campus scavenger hunt!

I will also show you the "sandbox" where all of our students are free to build. Building is great fun and uses a lot of math skills! As you get used to being in the Cyber Campus in the coming weeks we will also begin having building classes there.

If you are planning on attending the Cyber Campus orientation on Wednesday, please ensure that you have already installed your Hippo software and that you have successfully logged in to the Cyber Campus before. If you are having major technical issues during that time, I will probably not be able to help you, but if you call me earlier in the week I can!

If you are a parent or have a student who is not enrolled in any of the online courses, you can still do your timed testing online!

Just click on the "Open Timed Testing" Course on the Moodle homepage and enroll your student. All of the quizzes will soon be listed there and you will be able to see your grades as well by clicking on Grades on the bottom left side (on the course homepage).
